Welcome to KemonoFursuits. These terms outline the agreement between you and our studio to ensure a transparent and magical craftsmanship experience.
By commissioning KemonoFursuits Artisan Fursuits, you (the "Client") agree to the following legally binding terms. Our studio specializes in high-end, custom-made wearable art, and these terms protect both the artistic integrity of the work and the financial security of the Client.
Clients must be 18 years of age or older to enter into a commission contract. If the client is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must act as the primary contact and sign all necessary documentation.
Commission Agreements
All commissions start with a formal quote and a Character Reference Sheet provided by the Client. We reserve the right to decline any commission based on complexity or subject matter.
- Character designs must be owned by the Client or have written permission from the creator.
- Deadlines are estimates. Artisan craftsmanship requires flexibility for quality assurance.
- Significant design changes after materials are purchased may incur additional fees.
Payment Terms & Plans
Non-Refundable Deposit
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your slot in our queue. This covers material sourcing and administrative costs.
Flexible Payment Plans
We offer monthly installments for projects over $2,000. Suits will not ship until the balance is paid in full.
Failure to make a scheduled payment within 14 days without prior communication may result in the forfeiture of your slot and all previous payments.
Copyright & Ownership
While the physical suit is the property of the Client, the artistic design (patterns, sculpted foam shapes, and unique construction methods) remains the intellectual property of KemonoFursuits.
Client Rights:
- Personal wear and use
- Use in non-commercial video/photos
- Resale of the physical item
Studio Rights:
- Portfolio and marketing use
- Reproduction of artistic techniques
- Derivative digital media
Shipping & Delivery
We ship worldwide via tracked and insured carriers. Shipping costs are calculated at the end of the project and are the responsibility of the Client.
Import Fees & Taxes
International clients are responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees. We will not undervalue shipments for customs purposes as it is illegal and voids insurance.
Refund Policy
Due to the bespoke nature of our work, deposits and payments for materials and labour already invested are non-refundable. Refund requests are handled case-by-case before the furring stage begins.
- Manufacturing defects reported within 14 days of delivery are repaired free of charge.
- Cancellations after work has begun are refunded minus materials and labour already expended.
Code of Conduct
We are committed to a respectful, collaborative relationship with every client. Abusive, harassing or discriminatory behaviour toward our artisans may result in immediate termination of the contract without refund of non-refundable amounts.
